Basic Fast (10
days) This is the fast recommended for most people. It
consists of 7 days of pure water fasting followed by a gradual 3 day recuperation
period (fruit to vegetables to cooked meals). This fast procures a fast
track detoxification of the entire body and a genuine well-being. It favors
physiological and mental rest and allows for the elimination of toxins by
through a natural phenomenon called autolysis or self-healing. Fasting is a
tune-up for your body, including organ cleansing and repair, after which a
better functioning of the body and a better and cleaner mental state is
inevitable. This fast is also a very effective way to stop smoking. Extended Fast (14
days) This fast begins 4 days before the regularly
scheduled sessions
and finishes at the same. It consists of 10 days of pure water fasting and 4
days of recuperation. This fast is usually offered to those with special
needs and those who have already fasted. It offers the same benefits as the
basic fast with an extended detoxification period. Those doing extended fasts
usually benefit from added “alone” time for the first four days until the
small group arrives. Juice Fast (10
days) It is also possible to do a juice retreat at
predetermined dates, with advance reservations. This retreat consists of
freshly extracted fruit, vegetable and sprout juices (apple, melons, grapes,
carrots, beet, celery, chard, wheatgrass, etc.) followed by the same
recuperation as in the basic fast. We use mostly organic
produce. This retreat is especially beneficial for those who want to do a
thorough cleansing of their digestive and intestinal systems. The side effect
is a unique state of lightness and well-being. |
